Board Member

Westmoreland County

Hi, my name is Maria Martin.

I live in Westmoreland county and I am a member of SAU1’s Board of Directors. I started in 2017.

It is important to me to be a self advocate because I can stand up for the rights of people with disabilities. This is why I became part of SAU1. My favorite thing about SAU1 is the people. I hope to be a presenter.

In my life outside of SAU1, I enjoy working for someone else. I like political life, sales, and marketing and making money.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in theology and a Bachelor of Science degree in social work. I still need more education.

My vision for my everyday life is to pay my bills and go to bed.

I have a 5 year old female cat named Marta. I like absolutely nothing about her, but she doesn’t talk back.

My favorite food is buffalo chicken wings.
