Ambassador, Power Coach

Hi, my name is Josh Harper.

I live in Philadelphia County and I am a Power Coach for SAU1.

I started in 2015.

It is important to me to be a self advocate because I can use my voice and live my life, my way.

I became part of SAU1 to make friends and learn. My favorite thing about SAU1 is meeting new people and showing people how to say “Knowledge is Power” at our events. I hope that I can teach people that you can have a good life.

In my life outside of SAU1, I enjoy painting, going to the movies, swimming, watching TV, listening to music, dancing, and using the computer.

I went to a charter school called First Philly. I liked that school but I didn’t like high school.

I have learned to speak up. My mom doesn’t like that sometimes. I have learned how to pick the things I like and want in my life.

My vision for my everyday life is to do things like work and be with people I like. I want to be a part of other people’s lives, my way. I want people to know I’m Josh.

I have a cat named Misty. I’m not sure if I like her.

My favorite food is burgers.
