TechOWL Opportunity! Apply to be an AT Champion

Hello Self Advocates,

I’m Izzy, an Assistive Technology coordinator at TechOWL at the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University. We are seeking young adults with developmental disabilities across PA to join our team as assistive technology champions.

A flyer is attached to this email with more detail. This program is in partnership with the PA Developmental Disabilities Council.

The ideal candidate would be creative, excited to share their passion for assistive technology, and eager to develop their leadership skills.

You should have some personal experience with assistive tech and tools for people with disabilities. This might include things that help with mobility, computer access, self-regulation, vision, etc.

Monthly Zoom meetings will be on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm starting October 2023 and finishing March 2024. More details will be shared after your acceptance to the program.

If filling out this form is a challenge for you, please let us know and we will find a way to support you. We can review the questions verbally over Zoom or over the phone. If typing is hard for you, you can use speech-to-text or record your responses in a video and send them to us.
