In last week's blog, we learned that this month is International Peace Month. This week, we want to take some time as an organization to give you some ways to use your power peacefully. If you missed last week's blog, you can check it out here.
At SAU1, we believe that knowledge is power and you should use it! You will hear us say a lot that you have the power to speak up! One of the first ways that you can peacefully use your power is to tell people what you want and need in your life. You also have the freedom to make the choices that make you happy.
Here are some ways we thought of that you can speak up peacefully and make a difference in your life and in the lives of others:
Not sure where to start? That's okay. Feel free to attend one of our virtual or in person disability advocacy events to learn how to speak up and use your power.
We want your voice to be heard! You can share your thoughts with us on social media! Connect with us using the social media buttons at the bottom of our website to find our social media accounts! Stay in touch with us by signing up for power mail to learn how we are peacefully using our power!
