1 in 6 Americans live with a disability. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility (DEIA) is no longer an option; it’s a priority. ABLE accounts, created by Congress in 2014, allow people with disabilities to save and earn money without jeopardizing public benefits. The accounts can be a catalyst for improving your DEIA strategy to include people with disabilities and help provide information to support workers who are family members or caregivers for someone with a disability.

The Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), the National Association of State Treasurer’s (NAST) ABLE today and U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) recently partnered to launch the 2023 Disability Inclusion Pledge. This groundbreaking initiative aims to provide HR professionals and business executives with the necessary resources and tools to create more inclusive workplaces for disabled workers.

Join us on Thursday, July 20, 2023 @ 2:00pm ET as experts from SHRM and ABLE today offer a first-of-its-kind webinar to promote:

The benefits of ABLE accounts and how these accounts can support people with disabilities, their families and their caregivers;
How ABLE accounts can be incorporated into your company-wide DEIA strategy and act as a workplace benefit; and
Ways employers can offer ABLE account benefits in a workplace to promote disability inclusion and recruit new talent.

What is the 2023 Disability Inclusion Pledge?

SHRM, ODEP and ABLE today launched the 2023 Disability Inclusion Pledge to give HR professionals and business executives the tools they need to build better workplaces for disabled workers.

The launch of the 2023 Disability Inclusion Pledge is accompanied by a suite of resources designed to support organizations in implementing these best practices. Resources include educational materials, training sessions, and expert guidance to help businesses build inclusive cultures and develop effective disability inclusion strategies.
