Ambassador, Power Coach

Hi, my name is Gretchen Laudenslager.

I live in Bucks County and I am a Power Coach and Ambassador for SAU1.

I started in 2017.

It is important to me to be a self advocate to spread the word to other people with disabilities to speak up for themselves.

I started at SAU1 because it was an opportunity to help others and get paid to do it.

My favorite thing about SAU1 is meeting new people, learning new things, having a computer, and traveling to different parts of Pennsylvania. I hope that I can continue to help and inspire others.

In my life outside of SAU1, I am in the Special Olympics and I like dancing, yoga, walking, and spending time with friends and family.

I was homeschooled and then went to regular school in 10th grade. I graduated from Pennridge High School. I attend the WOW (We’re Outstanding Workers) program where I learned skills for getting and keeping a job.

My vision for my everyday life is to continue to learn new skills that I can do on my own which will make me more independent.

I have a cat named Baby. I like that she is very friendly and gives kisses.

My favorite food is shrimp scampi.
