Powering Our Mission: Getting to Know SAU1 Board Member Lori McFarland

October 28, 2024 | by sau1admin

Today, we will be getting to know SAU1 board member Lori McFarland. Lori lives in Bucks County Pennsylvania. She became a board member of SAU1 in 2008. Self advocacy is very important to Lori.

When asked why self advocacy is so important to her, Lori said, "Everything about being a self advocate is important to me. I became part of SAU1 because I wanted to learn to speak up for myself and others.” SAU1’s mission and vision are very important to Lori. Her favorite thing about SAU1 is, "That it makes me feel good to talk about what we do.”

When she is not volunteering her time for SAU1, Lori enjoys needlework, reading, and helping people when she is asked to.

To learn more about Lori and how she uses her power, you can visit our website to read her bio! We thank Lori for sharing her power with us and speaking up!
