We are proud to share the information below from Drexel University’s A.J. Drexel Autism Institute about an opportunity for autistic self advocates and parents or caregivers of autistic folks to speak up about transitioning from pediatric to adult healthcare.
Hello,
We’re reaching out from Drexel University’s A.J. Drexel Autism Institute to invite participation in a research study focused on improving healthcare transitions for autistic individuals moving from pediatric to adult medical care.
Whether you are an autistic individual (age 15+) who has already gone through, is currently navigating, or will soon experience this transition—or a parent or caregiver supporting someone through it—your voice is essential.
Your experiences will help inform the development of physician training programs aimed at making care more inclusive, accessible, and autism-informed. This is an opportunity to directly shape how healthcare professionals support autistic individuals during one of the most challenging and overlooked parts of care.
