Board President

Hi, I’m Laura Bale.

I live in Montgomery county and I am the President of SAU1’s Board of Directors.

I started in 2009.

It is important to me to be a self advocate because I enjoy doing advocacy and being part of a group that is special to me. I became part of SAU1 to help people. My favorite thing about SAU1 is the friends I’ve made and meeting other people along the way. I hope to help more people with their lives.

Outside of SAU1, I enjoy playing with my dog, Bear, being in my apartment, getting together with friends, and talking on the phone.

I graduated from Pathway School and Cheltenham High School and the Academy for Adult Learning at Temple University.

My vision for everyday life is for people with disabilities to be treated like everyone else.

I have a dog named Bear. He is a Shih Tzu and Laso Aupso. I like throwing the ball for him and petting him.

My favorite foods are Quiche Lorraine, chicken curry, butternut squash pizza and greek yogurt with granola.
