Ambassador, Power Coach
Hi, my name is Renee Benise.
I live in Blair County and I am a Power Coach and Ambassador for SAU1. I empower people and teach them about their rights. I started in 2018.
It is important to me to be a self advocate because I’ve had a hard life and I want people to have the services that I didn’t have. My favorite thing about SAU1 is being able to travel to different parts of Pennsylvania. I hope I can help keep people from falling through the cracks and help continue to make the Intellectual Disability system better. This is why I became part of SAU1.
In my life outside of SAU1, I like going to church and church activities.
I am the female in my family that has a high school diploma. I graduated from C2P2 Self Leadership class. I love animals and have 2 vet certificates.
My vision for everyday life is that there will be no waiting list and everyone will have a waiver and live an everyday life.
My favorite food, especially when I’m out and about and traveling, is Wendy’s or Chinese food.
